LeAngela Davis from Columbus, OH has been crowned as the Miss Hooters of the current year. The 14th Annual Miss Hooters campaign was held in FL on July 10th. Among the many accolades that the winner would receive the major points include her prestigious one year Hooters representation in various ad campaigns and commercials. There were 100 participants from across the different Hooters international locations coming from 29 countries. A celebrity panel led the contest with esteemed judges choosing the perfect Hooter representatives. The judges included Chelsea Lately’s Chuy Bravo, E! Entertainment host Michael Yo, reality TV star and ex Hooters Girl, Jerri Manthey, rock star Ryan Cabrera, ex member of the Pussycat Dolls, Ashley Roberts and others. The show got hosted by Dan Cortese while backstage representation was made by Carrie Keagan. The entire contest was put on live broadcast on Spike TV.
The Miss Hooters was chosen according to her glamour, beauty and personality quotients. The winner, LeAngela, scored the full circle in all these qualities that were being looked forth in the current Miss Hooter. She is well spoken and has outgoing personality making her the ideal person to be leading the Hooters’ campaigns. With her ability to ignite a room and make a sparkling conversation, the top choice naturally went for her. Beth Taylor, the pageant director, has declared on why she fit the bill of being the new representative of Hooter in the perfect way! Apart from the winner there were many other prizes given to the top ten models.
The other awards and nominations were represented as Ms Photogenic, Ms Hooters World and Ms Congeniality. The top 4 finalists got cash prizes ranging from $15,000 to $7,000. The 1st and 2nd runner ups in the contest were Rachel Mortensen from Phoenix, AZ and Ashleigh Dunn, from Newnan from GA. The 3rd runner up was Susan Murray from Katy, TX while the 4th place went to Janet Layung from Lakeland, FL. The Miss Hooters World has been a new title added to honor the international campaigns coming from Hooters. This award was given to Naty Gaviria from Colombia who received $5,000 as prize.
